indulgin' the simplest pleasure of my life

The 1st rainbow by the waterfall I saw left me breathless.
I deem myself to be adventurous and still want to try sky-diving one day.
I love to laugh out loud and break into smiles easily.
Some may say that I'm easily amused, I choose to think the person is funny enough to make me smile.
I'm satisfied with what I have in life and awaits to see my future with open arms and mind.

My South Africa Trip Saturday, April 05, 2008 8:40 PM
~Home Sweet Home!!~

Welcome myself home!!
Rounding up the 15 days trip, it was fantastic & almost close to perfect. Was at Cape Town and then we did the Garden Route before flying to Joburg.

For anyone who's a big Nature Lover, I'm 100% sure that you'll love Cape Town as much as I do. Despite it being my 2nd trip to Cape Town, it's easy to fall in love with the city, yet again. Simply coz it has everything that you'll wanna see in a perfect scenery setting. The great big sun (always sunshine), the clear blue blue sky (sometimes cloudy but still against a blue sky), the stars, the rainbows (yah, I saw 4 rainbows! not at the same time, duh?), the mountains, the valleys, the sand, sea, beach! And I can't forget about the animals! Gosh... those who know me well enough should know my fear for the 4 legged animals but they're actually quite cute! I'm totally cited up by the fact that I got to do a Safari trip in Joburg. and I caught a glimpse of the lions!! and I heard them ROAR! It's almost like straight out from a Animal Planet documentary...
And I must say I saw a different side of the country, coz I did a township tour - where they bring us to visit the township where many (and I mean like 1+ million pple staying in ONE town) blacks & colored Africans stayed in. Their living conditions appalled me and made me cherish more of what I have. & the kids living there.. ahh.. the kids... so adorable!! Think many of them had never seen a Chinese so they were playing around with my fingers even! haha. Guess I might have looked like an ailen to them. =P

So for whoever who simply loves Nature and can survive 2 wks odd w/o much shopping (coz there's really nth much to buy), I'm certain that you'll love South Africa as much as I did!
Lemme show you a few of my fave scenic shots... =)

The breath-taking sunset by the sea-side in Cape Town. I stood by the beach withstanding the cold cold wind coz I didn't wanna miss this.

Took this pic during my 2.2km hike in Featherbed Nature Reserve. Yup! you saw it correctly, I HIKED!

Another sunset shot which I took from a restaurant in Knysna.

One of the chambers within the Cango Caves. The limestones are really magnificent.

This's the 12 Apostles and the roadside stalls along the highway, taken along the Peninsular Coast.

One of the very few B&W shots I took during the township tour. This's one of the Kindergarden teachers who was explaining to us the daily schedule for the kids.

Taken in Joburg's Pilanesburg National Park during my safari trip. It's almost sun down...

One of the best "animal" pic I can get. now I realized that my Fuji cam has lousy zoom lens. arghhh...

GO AFRICA!
