indulgin' the simplest pleasure of my life

The 1st rainbow by the waterfall I saw left me breathless.
I deem myself to be adventurous and still want to try sky-diving one day.
I love to laugh out loud and break into smiles easily.
Some may say that I'm easily amused, I choose to think the person is funny enough to make me smile.
I'm satisfied with what I have in life and awaits to see my future with open arms and mind.

BKK Trip Tuesday, November 21, 2006 8:18 PM
Good times past too soon...

I'm back from the Land of Smiles. 4 days, 3 nights whizzed past... I touched down at 10pm last night and today, I'm back to my work routine. But I can't help thinking what I'll be doing if I'm still in Bangkok.

Post Mortem:

In short, it was almost perfect. Minus the traffic jams, cheating Taxi and tuk tuk drivers, the fall, the bruises, scratches, punches (sounds so violent). And my trip with the mktg pple always HAS to end with a big bang. why?! hahaha

So there's Jamie, Ade, Dan and I on this trip. Our plan of action is simple: shop till we drop. Our plan of attack the moment we open our eyes and after bfast was to head towards the shopping areas. So one thing I can say is "Mission Accomplished" =P

But amidst all the shopping, we did some other interesting stuff worth mentioning. Here's what:

1) Cruise Dinner by Shangri-la Hotel. Think international buffet spread on a cruise ship with excellent music, accompanied by rose wine and great company, cruising down the main Bangkok river with night views of the city. Needless to say, I totally enjoyed it.

2) Vienntine Kitchen. Great recommendation by Jamie's friend. I certainly recommend to whoever's gg to BKK in the future. Nice atmosphere with set-up of traditional Thai Huts and there were dance, fighting and singing performances. We spent about 3 hrs that night, sitting down at the restaurants and talking. It ended up not quite the way I expected but it didn't mean anything bad happen. Just unexpected, right Jamie, Ade and Dan? =)

3)Patpong Night Market.ermm.... bad choice I suggested. It's the red light district but I didn't think that the night mktwill be situated exactly at where the real action happen. sorry, I think I scared Ade and made Dan put himself on high alert mode even though he's freaking shag.haha.. Pple kept asking us if we wanna watch "ping Pong" shows as we walked along the shops. btw I've found out what the show's abt. tell you guys nxt time. hehehe... and we took a peep into one of the shops and saw hot girls (i presume) in bikinis pole-dancing. I thought it's a different experience but I'll nv wanna go back there again, I swear...

4) Siam City Hotel Room. Every night when we return to the hotel room, we'll spend NO LESS than 2 to 3 hrs washing up b4 we can go to bed. And all the actions happening in the room, I think it's hard to forget, right? There was no learning curve at all for us, with each passing day, we just spend MORE and MORE time getting ready, be it in the night or in the morning. and also on the last night, we took 30 min just to decide what time to wake up. it's ridiculous. why lydat? But before you hear it from the rest of the gang, I must admit it myself: I think I get violent at night when I'm feeling tired and I can't go to bed. hahaha... I kick, punch and scratch. opps... sorry Ade and Jamie. I can't control. hehe.. you guys shouldn't have asked me to play dai-tee when I didn't want to eat chips as forfeit. =P

enough said, I think I shall leave all the sayings to the pictures taken... Thanks guys once again, for the wonderful company!! Remember that we're gg back to BKK to stay at Shangri-La Hotel, okie?? Hope you guys didn't have any post-purchase dissonance thus far. *winkz*

1st meal in BKK. thanx to fmq for the recommendation. we had Pad Thai, along with fried rice, tom yam goong and some dim sum at MBK food court.

1st shopping area -Suan Lum Night Market. Not too bad an area but slightly pricer.

Then it was time for some ferry's wheel ride. it was too fast to be enjoyable but we had our fun time taking pics on the ride. besides, it looks dreamy to take ferry's wheel, romantic.

our proud buys (the tops) for the night at Suan Lum- Dan, me and Ade. you'll ask, where's Jamie?

the poor girl didn't buy anything that night. so Dan forced her to take pic with his buy - the cushion. look at her upset face. aww...

Presenting The Chatuchak Market. Must really thank Dan for being our "shopping porter" when we're shopping. I tried to carry my own buys but he'll insist on carrying. He claimed we use more of "touch" factor while he relies on the "see" factor when shopping. Appreciate that Dan!

Then it was Platinum Mall right after Chatuchak. Kinda amazed at its size. But we're still very much geared up to shop inside. So much so that we didn't wanna have lunch till Dan bought food for us to eat, right girls?

The buys after Chatuchak and Platinum. Combined buys btw. just in case you guys think it's one of ours.

Then we quickly washed up and went for our Cruise Dinner, thx to Jamie's Dad. The ship behind us.

In the ship, while waiting for the dinner to start.

Us outside lying on the cruise platform. Much enjoyment. Think Jamie's trying to make her face seem smaller, scheming!! and Ade hiding behind.

How can we girls miss out on manicure and pedicure in BKK? while the girls are busy, Dan tried to keep himself entertained. Seen clearly in this pic. haha.

It's DUNKIN DONUTS! okie, we're showing off our manicured nails at the same time. Can't resist doing that. =P

okie, as requested by my dear hm, here's the my buys from BKK. hehehe...

and now I'm thinking "when's the nxt time I should go BKK?" =P
