I watched "World Trade Centre" today at Vivo City. My company had booked the entire theatre for us and we were given free popcorn and coke. Okie, that aside,
I love that movie!! I'll give it a 4 out of 5! Wonder why the Mkt didn't like it. My colleagues all enjoyed the show very much and many of
us teared... yah,
us includes me. I teared a couple of times during the movie actually. And I tried so hard not to cry out loud.
The movie did strike a chord in my heart, and I really felt the impact. I guess it's due to the fact that I've visited Ground Zero (where the twin tower used to stand) during my NYC trip with Jielin. I remember telling JL that I couldn't imagine that the place I'm looking at, used to be the location of the WTC. It just seemed weird,
out of place in fact. Then when I was watching the movie, I had so many flashbacks from the time when I was walking along the street of Ground Zero, staring into the fences and looking at the construction going on at the site. Somehow, it's as though I could really relate to the movie and felt the pain. Then my tears started welling up again and again whenever I think of that. It's a MUST WATCH!
*Beware of spoilers* Parts of the movie which I really liked:
1) The part where there were papers flying down from the crashed towers.
2) The short clip which showed a man falling to his own death by junping out from the tower.
3) When the 5
or is it 6 policemen volunteered themselves to enter the towers to save the victims.
4) What the 3rd policemen said before he shot himself, saying that he really did his best to save Will, and that he love him.
5) How the 2 policemen gave each other support when they were both trapped, talking, singing and encouraging one another.
6) When Will told John not to give up as Will was being carried out.
7) What John told Donna when he was at the hospital, that Donna gave him the will to live.
Ahh.... That sums up why I love the movie and why I think everyone should catch it!!
Shall now show u the pics I took at Ground Zero. Feel the pain...
