This week seemed to fly past. Been so tired, I didn't even wanna switch on my PC. I just wanna be a couch potato and spend my night watching TV after work. baaahhh...
Lots of updates though. Let's start with Thursday -- Mad Hatter's Birthday Bash. It's the Quarter Bday Bash from my company that celebrates the birthdays of all the July, August and Sept babies. So yours truly was one of the 22 other birthday babies. Started off at 4pm and we were only allowed entrance if we wore a hat. It's hilarious looking at some of my colleagues who creatively made up a hat for the occasion. ever seen a turban made up with a scarf? Then it was game time where we were broken up into 6 groups and each group were given materials to make hats for the birthday babies in the group. Thereafter, we had to catwalk with the hat we made infront of everyone including the judges of the game. Kinda embarassing but we had a great time laughing coz everyone was just so sporting! I guess that's the good part about working in a fun environment -- everyone's spontaneous! =) I received a hand-made photo-frame of my department and (read this fmq) a lovable cup-cake! (pics later). Totally love my pink cup-cake! hehe..
On to Friday Part 1 -- SMA Gala Dinner. It was a looonnnngggg award ceremony. Everyone stood outside the Grand Ballroom to mingle around till about 8pm. 5 course dinner was served and it wasn't fantastic. However, my colleagues mentioned that it was already an improvement from the previous yr. Anyway, awards ceremony didn't start till 9.45pm! Hello!? and there's like 15 or more categories and awards to be given away. All finalists are given a chance to go up on stage to rvc the finalist's certificate so you can only imagine how draggy it was. But I'm certainly excited by the fact that my department's Chicken Little won the "Best Use of Magazine"!! and also my company's other department's MacDonald's won the "Best Integrated Media"! Great job!
On to Friday Part 2 -- Miwa's Farewell Dinner at Jamie's Place. I only managed to leave the SMA at 10.40pm so by the time I've reached Jamie's place, it was already 11-ish. But at least I didn't miss out the good show! Certainly a touching night, accompanied by the great company of the Market and the moving music pieces provided by Jeff. Couldn't ask for a more truthful night. agree? hmm.. let's just leave out the details. =) And then I stayed over at Jamie's place last night and we just watched TV, hang out together and I watched as Dan, Jamie & Andy had their rounds of chess. At least I managed to catch a short nap b4 returning home. In conclusion, a fruitful and wonderful Friday and Sat morning!

Well, I won't be posting pics from Miwa's Farewell party coz all those pics in my camera are too unglam. I'm saving your ass here Miwa Chan! But I do wanna extend this last section to Angel Miwa. hmmm.. I dunno if you'll be reading this b4 u leave for Paris tmr. As I've mentioned again and again, one year's gonna pass real quick, like just by the snap of our fingers, we'll be meeting each other again. We'll be bitching together, eating buffets, shopping away, watching movies & musicals. No worries about what's happening at our side of the world, coz we're all gonna keep you updated of the latest gossips. haha... I know you can take care of yourself coz you've always lived independently in Singapore but remember to be always on your watch over in Paris. Not everyone you'll meet may be as angellic as us!! haha...Lastly, I found this quote off the Net so I thought I shall dedicate this to you!"No distance of place or lapse of time can lessen the friendship of those who are thoroughly persuaded of each other's worth."
- By Robert Southey.Best Wishes Miwa Chan. You've certainly persuaded me of your worth! And I hope vice versa too! *winkz*
I LOVE YA!!
