indulgin' the simplest pleasure of my life

The 1st rainbow by the waterfall I saw left me breathless.
I deem myself to be adventurous and still want to try sky-diving one day.
I love to laugh out loud and break into smiles easily.
Some may say that I'm easily amused, I choose to think the person is funny enough to make me smile.
I'm satisfied with what I have in life and awaits to see my future with open arms and mind.

Rough start that ended beautifully... Sunday, September 03, 2006 10:02 PM
It's been a tough week for me, but thanx to all the concerns shown. I think I'm recovering. Went to another GP on Sat morning coz my tummy was giving me problem the whole of Fri night. Apparently, the 1st GP gave me a wrong diagnosis. It's not an infection but it's something to do with my large intestines. Kinda like what happened last month, just that now it's back with double the pain. Woke up at 5am last morning in pain again but I see it as a sign of improvement, at least I managed to sleep for 4 hrs instead of 2 like the night before.

Enough of the ongoing rambling about my large intestines, haha, I shall talk about the great weekend! It started with Thurs night when I caught "The Devil wears Prada". A seemingly bimbotic flick that turned out to be a pretty great movie. Love the Prada, Chanel, Jimmy Choo and etc labelled clothings and shoes. They feature all the beautiful pieces that women will die just to wear them. But I think I like it more for the story-line. Kinda remind me not to lose myself in the rat race. Just coz your job's someone else's dream-job, it doesn't naturally imply that it's yours. I recommend everyone to watch it also coz of Meryl Streep's great acting.

Friday was my day off ("WishDay") so I went shopping with Mummy at Bugis. Had a great time shopping and the best part was that the salesgirl from T****** accidentally packed an additional piece of top into my bag and I didn't know till I return home and was unpacking my stuff. I would have returned that top to her if I had seen her put it into my bag, just her luck that I didn't notice it till I got home. So a top FOC -- despite the fact that it's just a simple black top and a size too big for me, I still considered myself lucky!

Attended a Mediacorp News & Print party at MOS on Friday evening. They invited the pple from the Media industry (media-owners, Advertising and also Media industry) and MOS was swarmed! Never knew that they're so many pple in the industry. I arrived late so I totally missed the run-way show by the radio personnels -- they had radio DJs doing a fashion show apparently. My colleagues told me that I didn't miss much so it's ok. & with the free flow of drinks and food, I don't think I mind missing the fashion show at all! We tried to mingle around with the pple but I think I've got lots to learn. Met a particular director from an advertising firm and I saw Dawn Yeo (the blogger) -- she's pretty! Oh, and I think I saw Shaun Wee and Steve-anchorman for CNA Prime Time. So much for "star-gazing" that night. We stayed at MOS till 9+ and left for another pub -- 1 Nite Stand. Quite a good live-band but when my colleagues wanted to leave for another pub -- butterfactory, I decided that it was time for me to go home. But still, an enjoyable night.

Saturday was a surprise dinner celebration for our Birthday Boy-Roger!! We dined at Giraffe and I must comment that I'm definitely not impressed and not a happy nor satisfied customer. That's that. If not for the company, I guess it's a waste of time and more importantly money! It's full attendance from the Marketers! I'm so glad!! Had a nice time catching up with everyone, truly enjoyable!

And lastly, today, I went to Malaysia for a short half day trip. My family fren drove us down to his wife's home-town and we just chilled, walked around the place and visited her dad at the kampong. It's like back to nature. It's a great get-away. Seafood dinner was no doubt sinful but I think I deserved that coz mummy already forbidded me to touch anything that's gonna aggravate my tummy's condition, no cool drinks, no coconut, no spicy food, no dairy pdts, no this, no that. Argghhh.... However, I still think that my weekend was great!!
