indulgin' the simplest pleasure of my life

The 1st rainbow by the waterfall I saw left me breathless.
I deem myself to be adventurous and still want to try sky-diving one day.
I love to laugh out loud and break into smiles easily.
Some may say that I'm easily amused, I choose to think the person is funny enough to make me smile.
I'm satisfied with what I have in life and awaits to see my future with open arms and mind.

I Smile at the Simplest Pleasures Saturday, August 26, 2006 1:16 PM
I'm easily satisfied. I feel happy, excited and smile at the simplest pleasures that happen to me everyday.

I smile when:

-the SBS bus (131) that takes me home from work comes 5 min earlier.

-my mum cooks my favourite "cai bo" egg for lunch.

-the myphosis top that I like is now on 30% discount.

-I get 4 strawberries on my waffle instead of the expected 1!

-I have the time to rest at home, do nothing, and just watch "Princess Hours".

-my sis comes online every wkend to web-cam with my family.

-my new pair of heels don't hurt!!

Yup... I'm so easily satisfied.

Recently, I've been reading this book given by my cousin, titled " A Don't Sweat the Small Stuff Treasury - A Special Selection for Graduates." Definitely inspirational and I think I learnt quite a few good lessons from the chapters. One of the chapters is "Think of what you have, instead of what you want." One line that definitely struck a chord in my heart is "Happiness can't be found when we're yearning for new desires."

Make a note to yourself to start thinking more about what you have than what you want. If you do, your life will start appearing much better than before. For perhaps the first time in your life, you'll know what it means to feel satisfied. Take that away my friends...
