The 1st rainbow by the waterfall I saw left me breathless.
I deem myself to be adventurous and still want to try sky-diving one day.
I love to laugh out loud and break into smiles easily.
Some may say that I'm easily amused, I choose to think the person is funny enough to make me smile.
I'm satisfied with what I have in life and awaits to see my future with open arms and mind.

The Walk of Faith Saturday, February 11, 2006 9:37 PM
I can't believe it's my 1st time catching the real Thaipusan after 21 years living in Singapore. Never ever did I go so upclose to those devotees and caught them preparing for the procession. Really really really amazing...

Organized a day trip for the exchange students and one stop was at Little India. The students were really interested in the Thaipusan so we decided to forfeit our stop at Mustafa and catch the action in the temple. What an experience. I always thought I had a high threshold for pain but I guess those devotees were really something out of my limits. They had to put on those heavy kavadis at the temple and start on their 3km long journey -- "The Walk of Faith". With all those spikes poking at their bare bodies, I'm surprised that they don't bleed and not once did they look as though it's painful. The most amazing part was when they were pierced through their lips. How can they ever tahan that? and as I've mentioned, not a trace of blood. WOW! That's really something!!
