Today's my Uncle's 1st year Death Anniversary. Woke up early this morning to my aunt's place to attend the prayer's ceremony. Everyone was there. They said
he'll be happy to see us there today. I think so too... My relatives from my mummy's side of the family are always closely knitted together. The 4 sisters whom my mum is the 3rd sister, always get together every Sunday at one of the sisters' house and play their favourite card games. Nothing can change my mum's weekly schedule to meet up with her sisters. Well, unless there's a special occassion and my mum really can't make it. That has always been her weekly routine. It used to be visiting my grandma, like 10 over yrs ago when she was still alive. When she passed away, the visiting nv stopped, but it changed to my aunt's place instead of my grandma's.
I always find it amazing how the 4 sisters have so much to talk about everytime they meet. They quarrel and bicker alot, yah, alot and usually over stupid things that has to do with the card games. Like how my youngest aunt will say "
why is it always you that's winning?". or my 2nd aunt who will behave like a little kid and say she doesn't wanna play coz she kept losing. "
They're both sore losers", that's what my mum always say. But somehow, they'll all still meet up the following Sunday and play their games again.
I love how closely bonded they are to each other. It's really funny when they all "gang up" and target my youngest uncle. They always find excuses to reprimand him for the weirdest and naggiest reasons. Like "
why you play so slow?" or "
why you take so long to come here?" The 4 sisters always share the same opinion like when my sis and cousin bring them to eat at a nice restaurant, my big aunt will say "
the food's not nice. Home-cooking's always the best!" and then the rest of the 3 sisters will definitely say "
yah yah, food's not nice." Some things just never change...
Before I end my entry, here's
Hit & Misses of my Schooling Days #2Kindergarten days were the "funnest" days when some classmate had his/her birthday celebration. Coz they'll always come up jellies and sweets for the rest of the class. We always spend the start of the class or last few min of the class, celebrating his/her birthday. Most of the time, I just pay attention to the goodies. haha. I remembered buying goodies for my classmates too during my birthday in the kindergarten days. It's weird coz all the goodies were always more or less standardised but all of us always got so excited when we received the goody bags. haha
