Inspired by Chan Miwa's topic on friendship, I too wanna share my thoughts about it. Was reading thru her blog about her colleagues mentioning that sec/jc friendships won't last for more than 5 years, I was appalled by their thinkings. And they insist that they're right about it. BUT... I'm living proof that they're WRONG. Come on... I've friends that have been with me thru everything! U know who I'm talking about, my NP darlings. Let's count, shall we? Since Sec 1 till now. Hmmm... 8 YEARS!! 8 LONG YEARS!! Long past Miwa's colleagues' magical number of 5 years!!
For those who don't know, my NP friends are the ones back from Crescent Girls' NPCC. Known them since Sec 1 but nv really became that close till Sec 3 or 4. Nv thought that we can stay so close after all these years esp coz there're so many of us. 11 girls! We all have our differences but it really doesn't matter at all. Been thru so much with all of them, I can't see myself w/o them. I think there're times when we're so busy with our own lives that we don't meet up for months and we doubt that we can stay as close as before. But I realized that maintaining a friendship just needs to take a little effort. A little effort to meet up with them and have fun together. It isn't difficult at all.
And of coz I have alot of other friends whom I treasure dearly. Those that I have known since Primary school but hadn't had the chance to catch up. But we still keep in touch. And those whom I known in Sec, JCs and of coz Uni. Didn't expect myself to find such a great group of friends now that I'm in Uni. =)
Friends mean everything to me.
