I know I'm supposed to update about my trip to Ottawa but I had such a tiring day today... I shall just write briefly about my trip and I'll upload the pics asap. Maybe tmr but no guarantee. Yup! Went over to the Capital of Canada over the wkend. There were 7 of us who went, Me, RJ, JL, QL, Karen, SHili and Sylvia. We managed to find this really cheap deal, this hotel suite for like 70 bucks a night. and yesh, all 7 of us managed to squeeze into that suite, so we ended up paying like 22 bucks for 2 nights. There's a living rm, a kitchen and 2 double beds where each bed can sleep 3 of us. And thx to QL who slept at the couch for the 2 nights. She said she wanted her own privacy in the living rm, so we gladly let her have the bed!!! haha.. thanx girl!
Went to visit 2 museums in Ottawa.. First was the National Art Gallery which I paid 5 bucks for and ended up yawning the whole time when I was there... hahaha.. they had collections of like contemporary art, and one which I enjoyed the most was the collection of European Art. THey nv fail to amaze me with their details.. Seriously, I was there with JL thru out and I can't help but keep yawning when I was walking around.. I was glad to be out of the museum. Later, we went to this Jail tOUR. I did mention in my last entry that it was what I was looking forward to the most in this trip. and YUP!! u know what happened?? I didn't go for the 7pm tour, I went for the 8pm Haunted walk tour... okie, so what happened????? Coz we went to the place at 7pm, waiting for the person in charge to come and start the tour but he/she nv came, it so happened that the company mixed up the schedule and no one was there. SO as a form of compensation (not a gd form of compensation to me), they said we can join the 8pm haunted walk tour for free, or choose to come another day for the 7pm tour FOC too. But since it was the only day that we could join the tour, we decided to go for the 8pm tour. We saved 12 bucks... since it's FREE!!!!!!! u think I would be scared shit?? NOPE! I wasn't... Really... wasn't. the jail's freaky I must say and I did feel scared at certain point of the tour but it wasnt as scary as I thought it would be. Will tell more about it next time.
Okie, I also watched RENT (this musical) which I paid like 20 bucks for. (usual price's like 50??) that's coz thanx to Shili and Sylvia who so nice volunteered to Q up for the tix at the theatre while the rest of us went to another museum (civilization museum). Shall talk about the musical and the museum next time.. THE MOST EXCITING PART OF MY TRIP WAS THIS: I hitched a ride from my hotel to the bus terminal... To cut a long story short. We were out of time when we went back to the hotel to take our bags and since the taxi drivers so kindly went on stike the day we were in Ottawa, we had no way of getting to the bus terminal. I was so freaked out!!! so we decided to hitch a ride. okie, tell more about it the next time. too tired. so sorry that this entry's like left hanging here and there. but i'm so tired, drained from all my classes and proj meeting. nightZ
