Happy Chinese New Year!! It's this time of the year that I miss home so much. Went to Toronto but there's not much of a chinese new year atmosphere there either, except for a few chinese new year songs that you hear playing in a few shops. Where's my fave Ba Kwa?? My Bengawan Solo Pineapple Tarts?? My crispy cuttlefish?? My sweets, chocolates and all the unhealthy but yummy food?? Just did web-cam with my mum and I was telling her how come she didn't offer to send CNY goodies to me?? And she replied that she didn't know I wanted and I didn't tell her that I want. Then I told her that she should have the inititative to send all these to me! I shouldn't have to ask them. But it's okie... I'll just spend a New Year this year w/o any of my favourite goodies.. =(
Going for a reunion dinner with the Singaporeans on exchange tmr at this Chinese restaurant. We booked a table for 15. Really hope that the food would be good. It'll probably be the most decent meal that I can have this New Year, unlike all the other years' celebration where I would have overflowing amount of good food at every house that I go to. I miss my mummy's curry!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH MAN!!!!!!!!! and it didn't help that I just did a web-cam with my cousins at my house and they were all enjoying the good food that my mum cooked. And it also didn't help knowing from my sis that they drank champagne yesterday during reunion dinner and my dad wad drank by 7pm! I was supposed to be the 1st one to get drank!!! Can't believed it had been a year since I last got drank during reunion dinner last year. Oh well, what can I do?
