I'm back from Montreal!! What a trip! I thought the weather in Kingston's bad but Montreal is even worse! haha. The first night we were there, it was like -40 degrees. After we checked in to our hotel, we decided to go to Chinatown for an chinese buffet dinner. It costs us like 14 bucks after tax. With a wide selection of chinese food and given the fact that we all missed chinese food badly, we settled on that restaurant even though the price's slightly steep. Nevertheless, we ate quite alot that night esp our 2 babes, RJ and Karen. haha. Who else but them??? haha.. GOsh! They really did make full use of the 14 bucks man!! After that, we wanted to walk around Old Montreal and we made a visit to Cathedrale Notre Dame (not the one in Paris but the one in Montreal.) It's a beautiful church. U can check out the pics. I'm crazy about the interior! It's so grand, I've nv remembered seeing sth as grand. Alright! I still prefer the Sistine Chapel but this cathedrale is damn grand!!! LOVE IT! Anyway, the walk back to our hotel at about 10pm in the night was UNBEARABLE! I couldn't feel my toes and I seriously thought that they had fallen off or sth! When we aren't walking, we had to keep jumping up and down and shaking our hands in the air. haha. If some of the pics you see aren't clear, it's all coz my hands were shaking k? haha..
2nd day morning, we went to Mt Royal Park. It's like a nature reserve and we walked up to the top (like mt faber's height) to take pics of Montreal. As usual, it was really cold but I like the walk up coz it's snow covered trails and everything was white... Later that day, we went down to St Catherine (main shopping district) but I didn't buy anything coz 1st, we reached there late at about 4 plus and the shops were closing. 2nd, i had too many layers of clothings on, i don't wish to perspire while changing in and out. 3rd, I'm trying to save money. so no shopping!! In the night, we went back to the Notre Dame to see the "sound and light show". Paid like 10 bucks to fall asleep in the beginning. haha... It's like we sat down on the church benches and listened to the story of how they found and built this church, blah blah blah.. and I just closed my eyes and sleep. All the way till when they started pulling off the white cloth to light up different parts of the church that I woke up and felt much in awe. Coz it looks really great under all the different lightings.
On the 3rd day, we went to the Olympic Stadium and the Biodome where there's a museum. Don't really wanna mention too much about it coz I think it's just wasting my 9 bucks. They say that we can experience the 4 seasons in the museum. Seriously, it's just a zoo! Arrghhh... Like there's no zoos in Singapore. Can't really rem what happens after that trip coz I think we just ended up walking around. haha.... But it's still a fun trip. Will upload pics tmr coz I'm too tired now. haha.
